| Position Objective: To perform a wide range of maintenance tasks on outside grounds and ensure all outdoor surfaces are clean, well-maintained, and attractive, suitable for a hospitality environment. | |
| Key Responsibilities Maintenance of the Grounds -Regularly weed and keep flower beds clean. -Apply fertilizer and topsoil periodically to maintain flower health. -Sweep floors and keep all surfaces free of dirt and debris. -Ensure driveways are clear of dirt, paper, leaves, and other waste. -Clean water drains and ensure waterways are unobstructed to facilitate proper drainage. Gardening Duties -Maintain gardens and plants, replanting as necessary.Wash and clean parking areas to keep them free of dirt at all times. -Cut grass in common areas to a height of no more than 5 centimeters. -Trim road edges regularly to prevent plants from overlapping onto road surfaces. Seasonal Planting and Maintenance -Plan and execute seasonal planting schedules to ensure year-round floral displays. -Prepare gardens for seasonal changes, including winterization and spring planting. Pest and Disease Management -Monitor plants for signs of pests and diseases, implementing control measures as needed. -Safely apply pesticides and herbicides following safety guidelines and regulations. Irrigation Management -Maintain and monitor irrigation systems to ensure efficient water usage. -Adjust watering schedules based on weather conditions and plant needs. Collaboration and Support -Assist technicians when required, especially in lifting tasks or providing support. Perform any other duties as required to support the mission of the hotel as a whole. | |
| Experience and Qualifications: -O’level or equivalent. -Horticulture-related certificate is an added advantage. -Minimum of two years of experience in grounds maintenance.
